  1. I was a classmate of Steve’s at St. Englebert and McBride, and I was sorry to hear of his passing. I saw him last at an 8th grade reunion about 10 years ago.
Have a lot of good memories of Steve at St. E; as we worked at trying to grow up back in the day. As we all started moving out of St. E, we all started losing contact with each other and we went on our path in life.
One memory I wanted to share is about Steve as a teammate on Kutis Jrs. that won the 1963 USA Jr. Cup Soccer Championship. Steve was a backup Center Half to Jim Stack (also of St. E). Jim was a really great player. For some reason, Jim Stack could not make the trip to New York for the 63 Jr Cup final game. Steve stepped up and played Ctr Half and played great; he played out of his mind. And we won 4-0. Not many people knew that because the game was in New York City.
I remember Steve’s humble ways and having a great sense of humor.
So to Kate and Steve’s family, you have my condolences on your loss. Hold onto all of the great memories.
    RIP Steve

  2. I was a classmate of Steve at McBride High School. I will always remember him as a friendly and pleasant natured individual. During our four years at McBride Steve made many friends and lasting relationships.
My condolences and prayers to the family and friends of Steve as we have lost a good person.

  3. The last time I saw Steve was at our grade school reunion. He was a gentleman, and a kind person. One of the very few boys, who were kind to me in those grade school years.
