March 30, 1931 - April 21, 2024

Sunday, April 21, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Rice; loving father of Nancy Chambers and Bill (Ann) Rice; dear grandmother of Beth (Dejan) Dokovic, Sarah (Jeff) Cathey, Laura Chambers, Michelle (Ryan) Hune, Scott (Ninny) Rice, and Matthew (Libby) Rice; dear great-grandmother of Luka, Landon, Hudson, Harper, Grace, Maeve, Mirya, and Finnegan.

Marlene found great joy teaching hundreds of kindergarten students in the Lindbergh School District. Together with Ralph, Marlene enjoyed lifelong fellowship with many friends from Southminster Church, where they were members for more than 50 years. Marlene and Ralph loved the countless hours spent with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Marlene will be greatly missed.

Services: Memorial service Saturday, May 4, 10:00 a.m. at Southminster Presbyterian Church (10126 E Watson Rd, 63126). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Southminster GEM, or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank mom’s caregivers at Family Partners for the care she received during her final months.
