Michael Richards

In Loving Memory

Richards, Michael David

November 27, 1942 - September 20, 2026

Michael Richards, 83, died September 20, 2026, members of his family by his side.  He was known to many Webster residents as the Englishman who viewed the world from his porch with his pipe in hand and often a glass of wine. Though he was a cat lover and owner with his wife, Pam, he knew many neighborhood dogs as their owners walked by, and the dogs seemed to love his English accent.

Michael’s career in England was as a Mechanical and Civil Engineer and he supervised the building of a factory making auto parts in Jordan. He traveled extensively and emigrated to the US after he retired in 2007. He continued to travel to many destinations within and outside the US.

He was an avid gardener, reader and follower of US politics. Michael  enjoyed giving talks about Winston Churchill who he had studied for years. He could mimic Churchill’s speeches perfectly.  Recording at YouTube:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWQVJfG5NrQ&t=50s

Michael Richards leaves behind his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

  5. I met Michael in Kent (England) in 1987 and we have been in touch since then, despite living thousand of miles away. I have to admit if we kept our friendship for so long it was because of his sincere interest in the people he cared for. There was always that long distance call, that letter (then email) or that Xmas greeting from him to remind me of his friendship and appreciation. A truly honest and kind person that is rare to find. My condolences from La Rioja in Spain to Pam, Mark and rest of the family.
