born on October 30, 1953 and passed away on July 7, 2024.

Loving daughter of the late Ralph Sr. and Alice Stevener (nee Miller);  beloved wife of Robert “Whitey” Rimmer of 33 years; dearest sister of Ralph Jr. “Pete” Stevener; dear aunt of Julie (Phil) Garitson of Phoenix, AZ, Tim (Rachel), Cathy, and Renee Stevener of St. Louis, MO; great-aunt of Rebekah, Bella Garitson, Jordan, Abby and Chace Stevener; our dear friend.

Sue taught Middle School Social Studies and English for over 33 years in the Parkway School District.  She was actively involved in student leadership on the state and national level.  Sue was a devoted dog lover.

Celebration of Life on Tuesday, August 13, 1:00 p.m. at Pietro’s, 3801 Watson Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Stray Rescue of St. Louis, 2320 Pine St. (63103).    https://www.strayrescue.org/

  1. A certain loss to her coworkers and friends but even moreso to the students and the lives she impacted. She will be missed!

  2. Sue was a dedicated teacher, student council sponsor and friend who advocated for her students and worked cooperatively with her colleagues.
    Her love of dogs and animals in general was legendary, demonstrating her empathetic nature.
    Rest in peace, Sue. You will be missed. Prayers for Whitey. 🙏

    I am sorry that to hear of Sue’s passing. I always enjoyed Sue and our conversations as we taught together at NEMS. Thinking of you at this time and my condolences to your family.
