Robert “Bob” Edward Ring July 1950 – March 2017, Resident of St Louis Missouri. After a courageous battle with Cancer, Bob passed away peacefully at Yonsei Severance Hospital, Seoul South Korea. Bob was surrounded by his loving wife and family. Bob was born July 27, 1950 in Obion, Tennessee and raised in St. Louis Missouri. He joined the United States Army 1968 and his first duty assignment was South Korea.
Bob was one of two sons born to the late Robert Lee Edward and Reba Earlene Ring and was the beloved husband of Chang, Pun-I for 48 happy years. Bob will be forever be remembered by his devoted brother Carl Ring, beloved children Joseph and Kenneth Ring, daughter in-law Sungmi Kim Ring treasured grandchildren Julia and Jennifer Ring, caring in-laws Chang, Gang-Soo, Chang, IL-Soo, Chang, Boon-Ja, Chang, Ga-Soon, Chang, Jae-Kyoon, Chang, Gil-Soo, Chang, Eun-Young, Chang, Boon-Sun, along with countless others friends, family, free masons and brothers of MacArthur Lodge 183. . Bob was a mason and Very Worshipful Brother Bob was Paste Master three times in MacArthur Lodge 183, a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner.
Bob, above all else truly loved his family. He enjoyed, work, softball, laughing, lodge work, and being with friends and brothers and sharing his good spirit. Bob touched the lives of many people with his smile, generosity and maintained his sarcastic sense of humor all the way to the end.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, April 5th 2017 at 3pm at Yongsan South Post Chapel.
