Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Monday, March 21, 2016.   Beloved husband of the late  Mercedes Roberts (nee Grummel),  loving father of Phyllis (the late  Robert) Houser, Rita (Jim) Loretta,  Ellen (Stephen) Miller, Mary Frances (Thomas) Kappel;  dear grandfather of nine;  great-grandfather of seven;  dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Richard served as an Army Air Corps Communications Officer for four years in the 2nd World War.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS  AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd., Tuesday, March 29, 9 a.m. to St. Gabriel Catholic Church, for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Masses are preferred or contributions to Little Sisters of the Poor, Pink Sisters, or Carmel of St. Josephs appreciated.  Visitation Monday, 4-8 p.m.
