Beloved father of Patricia and Mary and proud grandfather of Sam and Rachel. He is survived by brothers and sisters, Richard (Pat), Marcella (Richard) Mitchel, James (Cathy), and Margaret (Kenneth) Alwon & many nieces and nephews. He also leaves former wives, Carolyn and Dona. He was preceded by his sister, Mary Anne.
Tom was an insurance executive who loved life and retired early to pursue his passions of family, friends and golf. From his parents, he was gifted with a life-long faith and deep fondness for all things Irish. With his beautiful baritone voice, Tom was a colorful raconteur, who valued kindness and was always open to making a new friend. His memory will loom large in the hearts of many and he will be deeply missed. He was a member of the Elks and Knights of Columbus.
Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Wednesday, November 6, 9:30 a.m. until funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital appreciated.
