In Loving Memory

Rose, Nathan Shane

Nathan (Nate) Shane Rose, a passionate lifelong welder and current resident of House Springs, Missouri, died unexpectedly on September 27, 2025, around 2:30am in his home he shares with his wife. Nathan is survived by his wife April Renee Rose; his children

Weston Shane Rose, Kristin (Cody) Odenbreit, Hailee (Justin) Carnett, and Autumn (Garret) Butz; his grandchildren Hazel, Jazmine, and Hardin; his mother Janell Keyes; his sister, Diana Depyatic; his brother Brian (Sarah Jo) Keyes; his aunts Rogene (David) Fitts, Lori (Wayne) Richard, and Linda (Gene) Carpenter; his grandma Nona Hill. He is preceded in death by his father James Rose; his granddaughter Everlie Odenbreit; his grandparents Lin and Earl Rose, and Leroy Warren.

Nathan was born in Mount Vernon, Illinois in 1977. He graduated high school from Mount Vernon Township High School in 1996 where he, unknowingly at the time, met his future wife. He then followed that with trade school for welding at Rend Lake College where he found his passion for his lifelong career in welding. Not long after beginning his career Nathan had his first child Weston in 2008. Following closely, he reconnected with an old friend and sparked a new romance to the love of his life April. Nate and April solidified their love for each other on September 22, 2012. Not only did he gain a wife that day, but he gained three daughters that he treated as his own.

Nathan was a man of many interests and hobbies. His favorites included his passion and commitment to the Missouri Mudder’s off road riding and racing group he joined with his wife and dog Little Bit. There he met many friends that he loved dearly and viewed as family. When he wasn’t riding though he was spending time out with his other family of friends in his karaoke world. Nathan and April thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the people they cared for and creating memories to last a lifetime. And that they will.

There will be a visitation in celebration of life for Nathan Rose on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at Kutis Funeral Home (address will be listed below). Closed visitation for family only begins at 3:00pm, open public visitation begins at 4:00pm followed by the funeral service which will be held at 7:00pm. We ask anybody planning to join us to wear riding or racing attire to honor Nathan’s love for racing but if unable to do so please wear green to honor his favorite color.
