April 23, 1947 – Thursday, February 23, 2017 after a  courageous battle with cancer.

Beloved husband for 41 years of Carol  Rotermund; (nee Barks); dear son of the late Vincent and Clara  Rotermund; loving father of Dave (Melissa), Dan (Karen) and Tom (Carrie);  loving grandfather of Katie, Kevin, Madison and  Allison; loving brother to Ann Rotermund; dear uncle,  brother-in-law, nephew, cousin and friend to many.

Longtime sales representative for Yellow Freight Lines, avid thoroughbred horse owner, St. Louis University Basketball fan, member of St. Mary’s High School Sports Hall of Fame and Southside Indian Ball Hall of Fame.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, Tuesday, February 28, 9 a.m. to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (3140 Meramec St, 63118) for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations  preferred to  Humane Society of St. Louis, 1201 Macklind Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110. Visitation Monday, 3-8 p.m.
