Janet Sarah Roth rested peacefully in God’s hands on Saturday, December 13th at the age of 88. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and deep family devotion.
Born Janet Sarah Hopkins to Mamie Honse-Hopkins and Thomas Hopkins in Vienna, MO. In 1955, she married the love of her life, John Michael Roth. They shared 54 years of love until his death in 2009.
Janet was a devoted and loving Mother to John Matthew Roth (Diane Roth) and Jacqueline Sue McCune (Brett McCune). Her Grandchildren-Emma Leach (nee Roth), Abigail Roth, Hannah Morris (nee Dunkle), Bailey Dunkle, Chandler Shupp, Joseph McCune and Clayton McCune-were the true light of her life. She loved and was so proud of her Great Grandchildren- William Carl Leach, Elijah David Leach, Percival Alistair Lee Morris, Everett Matthew Leach, and Raelynn Brett Shupp.
Janet was well known for her wonderful sense of humor and that touch of stubbornness that endeared her to everyone who knew her. Her faith was important to her, and we include these words from Luke 11: 9-13: “Keep on asking and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find it. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks”.
Janet was loved and adored. She was our world.
Services; Family will meet at Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Friday 12/19 9:30AM for procession to JB National Cemetery roadside service at 10AM.
