Rudolph

In Loving Memory

Rudolph, Robert M. “Bob”

December 22, 1953 - September 22, 2023

Passed away peacefully at age 69 on September 21 after a valiant 3 year battle with cancer.

Beloved husband for over 43 years of Sharon Rudolph (nee Colvin); loving father of Ashley Rudolph.  Bob is survived by his sisters, Donna Rudolph, Sharon (John) Contini and Lorie (Mike) Brown; nieces and nephews Scott (Donna) Rudolph, Suzanne (Greg) Scheidt, Shannon (Brian) Carroll, Sam (Eva) Rudolph, Christy (Dave) Brewer, Kelley (Sekou) Knox, Kevin Rudolph, Lindsay (Doug) Elliott, Jason Contini, Nathan (Danielle) Contini.  Bob was predeceased by his parents Vernon and Frieda (Kreitler); his brother Vernon (Sonny) (surviving spouse Sharon), his brother Gary (surviving spouse Kaye) his nephew Geoffry Foelsch, and his nephew Sean Contini.  Dear nephew, brother-in-law, cousin, great-uncle, and friend.

Bob enjoyed nothing more than getting together with family or friends.  There was nothing more important to him than being there to support them at any time.  His other pastimes included photography and genealogy.  Over the last couple of years he was able to reconnect with some of his former classmates from Prep South.  Those get-togethers lifted his spirit and helped him to carry on when the chemo treatments began to depress him.

The family would like to express their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to the wonderful doctors, nurses, technicians, and staff at Siteman West County for all they did to help Bob on his journey.  There was not one person during his treatments who did not treat him with dignity and respect and although he didn’t like the chemo treatments, he did enjoy his time spent talking with the staff.

Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Thursday, September 28 at 9:00 am. to St. Joseph Catholic Church (567 St. Joseph Ln. Manchester, Mo. 63021) for 10:00 am. Mass. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to Siteman Cancer Center (wustl.edu) or American Cancer Society appreciated. Visitation Wednesday, September 27 from 3-8 pm.

  1. Bobby, you were such a sweet, cute baby & kid….big green eyes, curly lashes & dark, curly hair. Smart too! Skipped 4th grade, went from 3rd to 5th grade. It was so heartwarmingly obvious how great your marriage was with Sherri & how much you adored Ashley. You were a wonderful husband, father & friend. I’m sure Mom, Dad, Gary, Sonny, Geoffrey & many more greeted you with opens arms & much love.
