Ethan Rumao

In Loving Memory

Rumao, Ethan

October 1, 2013 - December 30, 2024

In Loving Memory of Ethan Rumao
October 1, 2013 – December 30, 2024

Ethan, a joyous, cheerful, and innocent soul, left this world far too soon on December 30, 2024, leaving an unfillable void in our hearts. His smile could light up any room, and his playfulness and kindness touched everyone who knew him. From a young age, Ethan showed an extraordinary zest for life, filling every moment with love and laughter.

Born on October 1, 2013, Ethan attended KECC and later Tillman Elementary School, where he was cherished by teachers and classmates alike. He also attended St. Peter’s for PSR, where his faith and love for God grew alongside his peers. Sadly, complications from a bone marrow transplant due to bone marrow failure took him from us far too early.

Ethan was full of life and joy. His resilience and vibrant spirit were unmatched. He loved riding his bike, swimming, and playing with his electric cars. He also loved playing video games and reading comic books. Ethan owned an impressive collection of Hot Wheels cars that he treasured dearly.

The beloved son of Parag Rumao and Eureka Lopes, Ethan brought endless love and happiness to his family. He will always be remembered as a source of light and laughter in their lives.

Though his time with us was short, the light Ethan brought into this world will shine brightly in our hearts forever. We find comfort in knowing he is at peace, embraced by love and surrounded by the joy he so freely gave to others.

A celebration of Ethan’s life will be held on January 8, 2025, at St. Peter’s Church in Kirkwood. Visitation will begin at 10 AM, followed by the funeral mass at 11 AM. The family invites guests to wear usual Sunday Mass attire. If possible, please incorporate vibrant colors as Ethan enjoyed these very much. In honor of Ethan’s love of Hot Wheels and Playdoh, guests may bring a car or Playdoh item which will be collected before Mass and donated to a children’s charity in Ethan’s memory.

Graveside services at St. Peter Cemetery will immediately follow the funeral mass. All are welcome. Guests are also invited to Sunset 44 for a reception beginning at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Ethan’s honor to https://validaid.org/fund/253

Rest in peace, sweet Ethan. You will always be our sunshine and the love of our lives forever and ever.

  24. I work at KECC and when I used to be in my old role at the front desk, Ethan would be running a little errand with a teacher and he would visit with me and show me his little cupped hands that he would say were holding Baby Jesus. He was a precious child, and I loved seeing him grow up from afar at church. I watched his funeral service online with over 100 others. It was an absolutely beautiful tribute to a beautiful life. Sending so much love to, and continued prayers for, Ethan’s parents, extended family, teachers, and friends. He will be missed and fondly remembered.
