  1. Bob and I were friends for 64 years, and I do not ever remember hearing him say an unkind word. He was a really GOOD man, and a wonderful friend, even though we would go months without actually conversing with each other; when we re-met, we would continue where we left off. The world is now a better place because Bob was in it. Rest in peace, dear friend…you’ve earned it.

  2. What terribly sad news. I will always remember Bob’s outrageous but subtle sense of humor and his unfailing kindness. I’ll have Mass tomorrow here at the seminary for the eternal rest and serenity of this dear soul.

  3. My condolences to Barb and all of Bob’s family. He always made us laugh at St. Joeseph Seminary. He will be missed by many.

  4. As I remember ,and that was 50 plus years ago, Bob was in trouble with the priests at St Joes Seminary frequently. However because of his outgoing and loving manner he always came out on top. He would have made a great priest but think god called him to be a better father and grandfather. Rest in peace dear friend and classmate. No more pain only eternal love of our creator Charlie Goeckner
