Santoyo, Benjamin Walter

Benjamin Walter Santoyo, age 81, of Lemay, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Born on September 12, 1943, Ben was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He was the son of the late Carl and Rose Mary Santoyo.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Joanna (nee: Schierloh) Santoyo, and his loving children Marilyn (Tom) Gierse, Michael (Kim) Santoyo, Michelle (Martin) Rohret, Mark (Diane) Santoyo, Maria Krausz and son-in-law David Downhour. He was a loving grandfather to Alexandria, Jacob, Carmen, Benjamin, Andrew, Josh, Elia, Elise, Bryor, Dayton, Danielle, Charles, Zack and 8 beautiful great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Robert and Graig Santoyo and was preceded in death by his beloved sister Sandra Stout.

He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Services:  Funeral at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road Thursday, January 30, 2025, 10am. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.  Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm.

  1. I will always remember the dinners we had with Joe & Corin and Ben & Joanna. Dave would actually laugh at Ben’s’ jokes.
    He will be missed.
