  15. My deepest condolences to Rich’s family and friends. I just spoke with him recently about joining the American Legion Post 111, and he was working on my membership details. My late grandfather, Lewis Smith, a past commander of Post 111, was good friends with Rich. We just had his funeral last month with a luncheon at the Post afterwards. Rich did an outstanding job to help organize it all, and my family and I were very appreciative. I was very saddened to hear of his sudden passing. Rest In Peace, Rich. Stand easy, brother…I’ll take the watch.

  17. I have such fond memories of Rich while working bingo at St Michaels. He was most loved by the Kenridge children who called him papa while he was their crossing guard. A wonderful man who will be missed.

  27. Surely miss Rich having worked with him over the past 17 years at Post 111. He was always there when I needed help with advice about different things at the Post. He is greatly missed – especially at our coffee breaks.

  29. Heather, Andrea, Angela, Nickrent family, Jeanine and the extended family – my heart goes out to you in your loss. Rich was a wonderful man. His love for his family was evident to all, as was his support for veterans. He has supported Unit 404 and our activities for veterans and children and youth. Many times I have seen him at Post 111, where he has always had time to spend with a veteran who needed some help, even taking some money from his own pocket to help them with bus fare or a meal. I know he was very proud of his grandchildren and the young people they were becoming – he’d have appreciated seeing you out at JB placing wreaths on the 18th.

    He will be greatly missed.
