Kevin, age 65, passed away suddenly after a brief battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Beloved son of the late James and Charlotte (Callahan) Scannell. Dear youngest brother of Mary (Joe) Sayer, Jim (Judy) Scannell, Bob Scannell, Pat (Dan) Reuter, Peggy Door. Dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Kevin grew up in Maplewood and attended Immaculate Conception Grade School until it closed in 1971. He completed his education through the Maplewood Richmond Heights school district. He was an associate at Sam’s Club for 12 years when he suffered a stroke in 2017. He most recently resided at the Village of Mackenzie Place where he enjoyed socializing with the other residents who he lovingly dubbed ‘inmates.’

Kevin will be dearly missed by all his fellow ‘inmates’ and staff at Mackenzie. May he rest in peace. Our sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones.
