Mary Susan “Sue” Scheurer (née Wolf) passed away surrounded by the love of family on July 20, 2026.
Beloved wife of the late Edward Scheurer; dear mother of Brian (Maggie) Scheurer, Kevin (Laurie) Scheurer, Keith Scheurer, and Jill (Ryan) Wheatley (née Scheurer); loving grandmother to Luke, Adam, Emily, McKenzie, and Dominic; dear daughter of the late Ralph L. Wolf and Geraldine Granville (née Geoffroy) and William Granville; dear sister of Ralph E. (Denise Brada) Wolf, Jeff Wolf, Kathy (John) Peterson (née Wolf), and the late Daniel Wolf; dear sister-in-law, cousin, aunt, friend, and neighbor.
Sue grew up in St. Louis and graduated from Lindbergh High School. She met the love of her life, Ed, and after getting married, they lived in Germany while Ed served in the United States Air Force. Their time overseas was filled with adventure and lasting friendships. Sue and Ed returned to St. Louis and built a family. As her children grew, Sue generously volunteered in countless ways at their schools and also worked in the hospitality industry, making many friends along the way. No matter where she was, Sue had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome, valued, and at home. Sue never met a stranger and was truly the life of every gathering. She especially loved hosting parties, bringing family and friends together around good food, music, and laughter. Nothing brought Sue greater happiness than her grandchildren. Her love for her family was unwavering and will continue to live on through each of them.
Services: Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 Thursday, August 6th, 4-8 p.m. with Funeral Service on Friday, August 7 at 10:00 am. Sue – not hard to describe when you are an authentic genuine soul, could talk to her for hours about anything at anytime. Always fun when Sue was around. Sure am going to miss hanging on the deck with her at the Lake and listening to stories about her and Ed. I know she is so happy to be with him and will always look down and take care of all of you.

Sending you love in this difficult time. Your mom was such a kind person but I remember mostly her laugh, she always seemed to be smiling. She was so caring and genuine in her actions. I loved babysitting ALL four of you!! I have fond memories of your family. My heart is with you all and I hope you find peace with time.
