  2. My sincerest condolences to my dear best friend JoAnn. Also Becky, Michael, Christy, Nancy, and their families.
He was a great man who I always looked up to & respected as a kid growing up. He was kind, thoughtful, intelligent, and a very caring individual. I feel blessed to have known him.
    Rest in Peace Mr. Schicker.

  3. You will be missed by all that knew you. I will miss my movie buddy. We saw some good ones. Older one too. You fought the good race but at the end they told me you just drifted off to sleep ❤️

  4. Condolences to Becky, Michael, Joann, Chris and Nancy. God bless you and your loved ones! So very sorry for your loss.

I’m so glad I got to talk with my Uncle Don Schicker a little bit and hear about his memories of Redding, CA which is near where I now reside. So fun getting to hear his always positive take on what life threw at him. Now he is with his brothers, my Dad Tom, and Uncle Bill.
My favorite memory of my Uncle Don Schicker is from a softball game at a Schicker family picnic at Tilley’s Park (1960’s). Don was in left field. Someone hit a ball into the left center gap and Don and the center fielder – not sure who – pointed at each other and mock argued, “that was yours,”, “no that was your ball.” They pointed at each other pretending to disagree about who should have gone after the ball. Funny. We all just watched. Finally, Don sprinted to the ball, which had rolled quite a way, and threw a perfect strike to home plate, The ball didn’t bounce a single time and he darn near threw the hitter out. Yes, Don had quite an arm as his knowledgable fans will always remember. Rest in peace Uncle Don! Heaven is cheering you and your brothers – all really, really great guys!
