In Loving Memory

Schlude, Linda Darlene

April 26, 1949 - September 5, 2026

Linda Darlene Schlude, 1949-2026

Linda Darlene Schlude passed from the arms of her husband Roger and family to the arms of our Lord on Saturday, September 5, 2026. Born in Wardell, Missouri, to Sherman Miller and Mabel (Clayton) Miller on April 26, 1949, she and her family later moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where she attended Roosevelt High School and met and married the love of her life, Roger Schlude (78), in 1969. Together they raised four spirited children: Roger (56), Joseph (55), Jennifer (51), and Jason (46). A versatile professional, she worked on the administrative staff at the Missouri Botanical Garden and then as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Nazareth Living Center. For 77 years, Linda lived with an open heart, wide smile, and unmatched generosity. She loved to garden, cook and bake, make and listen to music, crochet, and create daily. She made banana fritters that tasted of heaven, she could listen to Neil Diamond longer than anyone, and her forests of Roses of Sharon may live forever. She embodied a faith in God that inspired all those around her. As the family historian, she lovingly collected photographs and documented the lives of her family, which included 10 grandchildren (Nicholas, Maxwell, Noah, Truman, Savannah, Caleb, Mattie, Abby, Hendrick, and Gus) and 1 great grandchild (Arabella). In them, she found pride and joy. Joining her parents and siblings Gary Miller, Charles Miller, and Norma (Miller) Hooten in the afterlife, she is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchild, and two brothers Don Miller and Tim Miller. She was a talented woman, tireless and humble dream-maker, and dear wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She left us a legacy of love as our inheritance. Filling our hearts, we will spread it in this world till we meet her in the next.

Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Saturday, September 12, 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St Ambrose Catholic Church Sunday, September 13, 2 p.m. (Meeting at Church) Burial Private.
