In Loving Memory

Schmidt, Glenn M.

July 29, 1971 - January 15, 2026

Schmidt, Glenn M.  passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026.

Loving father of Glenn Michael, Jr., Brianna (Zach Edelen) Schmidt, Ava Schmidt and Silver Schmidt; dearest son of Georgia Brown; dear brother of Jimmy, Timmy and Patrick and preceded in death by his brother Joe Brown.

Of all things important to Glenn, family and friends was at the top of the list. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, listening to music, the beauty of flowers and art especially sculptures. Glenn could light up any room any time he was there. He was a kind soul and was always the person who was there when anyone needed someone. He brought joy and chaos everywhere he went with his big personality but kindess was one of his biggest attributes. Glenn was an employee for nearly 36 years of Orthotic and Prosethic Lab St. Louis where he dedicated his career to helping many patients achieve a better quality of life.

  1. I was a patient of Glenn’s for almost 10 years at the Creve Couer location.. I teased him a lot and he said I was one of his “difficults” which we’dI laugh about .I felt so comfortable with him and he worked hard on my issue.. I am going to miss my visits with him.. My condolences to his entire family and many friends…..

  2. I am a friend and former co-worker. In my experience, Glenn was an early mentor, a friend, and truly an all-around good guy. I have many fond memories of working with him, and I still share those stories often with my students, residents, and co-workers.

Over the years, Glenn always reached out with sincere excitement and encouragement, and that meant more to me than he likely knew. His impact has stayed with me.

My heart goes out to his family, children, and to all who loved him. May you find comfort in the many lives he touched.

Aloha and a hui hou friend.

  4. Gleeny and I met through our work. He was the orthotist that would do bracing with patients. We have known each other for about 8 years and had some fun times! We would talk outside of work and could tell each other anything that was on our mind or what we may have been going through in our personal lives. He was a good friend. A friend that would be there if and when needed. We had some fun making a few TikTok videos too 🥰 I was sad to hear of his passing and to be honest, I was shocked. My thoughts are with his family and kids. He loved his kids and of course riding his motorcycle. RIP Glenny, until we meet again.
