(nee Burke), born on January 12, 1920, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Gilbert W. Schmitt; loving mother of Thomas M. Schmitt and Gilbert J. (Donna) Schmitt; adoring grandmother of Thomas G., Edward J. “Ted”, William F. and Maria F. Schmitt; our dear sister, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Mary was devoted to her family and friends, always gracious, caring and kind.
Services: Visitation at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 6000 Jamison Ave., 63109 on Wednesday, August 30, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Raphael on Thursday, August 31, 10:00 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
