Schmitz, Wayne N. Saturday March 27, 2021. Beloved husband of Barbara L. Schmitz (nee Miller). Dear father of Beth Schmitz. Dear brother of Kenneth (Maureen) Schmitz and Evelyn (Jim) Larkin. Our dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.

Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Tuesday March 30, 4-8 pm, then to St, Johns United Church of Christ, 11333 St. John Church Rd. (63123) Wednesday March 31, for visitation at 10:00 am until service at 11:00 am. Interment St. Johns U.C.C. Cemetery. Member of St. Louis County Community Chorus and St. Johns U.C.C. choir. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Evelyn’s Hospice House appreciated.

  5. Barbara, Beth, Ken, and Evelyn, so very sorry. Wayne was a guy I admired (maybe because of his cool toys, but probably more because he knew how to work on them). He can finally rest easy now. I pray a lifetime of memories gives you Peace.

  7. I am so sorry to learn of Wayne’s passing. He was someone of intelligence and integrity. he so loved to sing and be involved in the community chorus. His grace thru his illness was touching and inspirational. May he rest in peace.

  9. So sad to hear for my dear cousin’s passing, but happy to know he’ll be celebrating Easter in the arms of Jesus.
    I remember him as the coolest of guys with a sweet ride. I was just a little girl who loved her St. Louis cousins who visited grandma Ziggy.

  13. Heaven’s chorus just added a great voice. Wayne will be remembered as a long-time member of the St. Louis County Community Chorus. I had the pleasure of getting to know Wayne, and helping him with his music stand from time to time at rehearsals. I am sending warm virtual hugs to Barb and Wayne’s families, and keeping them in prayer.
