Norma-Schnable

In Loving Memory

Schnable, Norma Jean (nee Beutel)

Passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on April 18, 2022 in St. Louis, Missouri.  She was fortified with the Sacrament of the Holy Mother Church.  Norma Jean was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 5, 1946, to the late Paul and Catherine Beutel.

Beloved wife of 54 years to Jack Schnable.  Loving mother to Michael (Tammie) Schnable and Eric Schnable (Christopher Laiben).  Adored Grandmother of Riley and Cole Schnable.  She is survived by her brothers, Jerome (Jackie) Beutel and Paul (Connie) Beutel, both of St. Louis, Missouri.  She was a dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many people that will truly miss her.

She attended Bishop DuBourg High School and attended Miss Hickey’s business school in Clayton, Missouri.  She worked at Maritz Travel Company for over thirty years as Director of Marketing before retiring and moving to Maryland with Jack to enjoy their grandkids.

Norma Jean, “Red”, “Bootel”, lit up the room when she walked in and had such a big personality and heart.  She truly enjoyed life and did everything with a loving and positive attitude.  She was so proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with them, baking/cooking, crafting, volunteering and traveling around the world.

A Memorial visitation will be held on April 30, 2022, from 1-4pm at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton.  A private Mass service and burial at Jefferson Barracks will be scheduled for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that contributions be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.  Letters of condolences can be sent to Jack Schnable, 29574 Charles Drive, Easton, Maryland 21601 (jjschnable@gmail.com).
