  5. One of my very first friends & my beloved cousin. You reminded me so much of your Dad, my Godfather. You both were larger than life and I can’t believe you’re both gone now. I know how frustrated you were that your body couldn’t keep up with all you wanted to do; I know now that you are free of pain, limitations and in a place of peace and abundant love.

I’m sure you’ll be able to watch out for your family better now but look forward to when we’re all together again. Much love….

  7. John was one of a kind…bright, talented, funny and fun. The years he spent in the Sunset tennis program are replete with memorable stories of his athletic accomplishments garnished with a dose of rollicking antics. And though, sadly, he has left us all too soon, he will not be forgotten.

  13. I’m so sorry for your loss. Johnny was my first doubles partner in the 10 and under at Oak Hill Racquet Club in Belleville Illinois. We had great times during those summer years with Johnny, Cindy, my sister Rene, and myself. Always getting into mischief and thought we owned the place. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. My friend will be dearly missed.

  25. I am broken hearted to hear this news. We had so many fun times together. We competed against each other intensely but we were always close friends. He was an amazing, complex and cool person.
