Schroeder, August “Gus” II

August “Gus” Schroeder II, 67, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, August 25, 2022. He was born on September 5, 1954, to Robert and Dolores (Frame) Schroeder in St. Louis, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Schroeder; mother, Delores (Frame) Schroeder; and sister, Nancy (Schroeder) Mogelnicki. He is survived by his wife, Janice (Ottensmeyer) Schroeder; sister, Carol (Robert) Ezell; six children: Kendra (Jason) Wadle, Kelly (Melissa) Schroeder-Stein, Steven (Meg) Moul, Joshua (Laura) Schroeder, Kyle Moul, and Abigail (Brian) Kortkamp; ten grandchildren: Brandon, Maddi, Alex, Jaycee, Bella, Abe, Gracie, Annabelle, Millie, and Baby Nora; and by many other adoring family members and friends.

Gus was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and recounting his countless adventures. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and beagles. He was a third-generation owner-operator of Schroeder Truck Repair, a legacy to be continued by his son and grandson.

Memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. up until the time of services at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63129, with all services concluding at Kutis. Family gathering to follow.
