  1. Sorry I couldn’t spend more time with my brother in law since I moved out of state. Still had memories of you singing at many events.

  5. It was overlooked in the obituary but let the world know that Wally was brother-in-law to Joan Travis and Diana Dyer. We were there and watched him create beautiful memories from the moment he married our sister Paulette, the births of his children and grandchildren, to his made-in-heaven marriage to Mary Ann. His death leaves a big hole on our hearts.

  7. I am so sad & sorry to hear the news of dear Wally’s end struggle. But alas he is safe in the arms of Jesus, no pain or struggle ever again… only peace, perfection, & abiding love. I am thrilled of the pure joy that sweets Paulette & Lisa must have burst forth with throughout Heaven when they welcomed Wally HOME. Love & prayers for all of you my precious Schultz cousins.

  9. Ed & Leslie- I am very sorry for your loss… Unfortunately, I was never lucky enough to meet your father. However, after reading through some of the condolences above and seeing how he raised you to be such a great guy, I’m sure he was also a great man/father (and so much more). My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during these hard times. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do for you.

  11. Also left out of the obituary was that Wally was also a brother. I am larry schultz his younger brother and we also had a sister Patricia Schultz Steitz who passed in February 2021.

He taught me how to play baseball, football and how to ride my first bike. He never needed a map to go anywheres in St. Louis, it was uncanny. He will be missed by all.

  27. Deepest sympathy to Walter’s family including: Mary Ann, Paulette + their children’s families + the Dyers, his siblings Patricia Steitz and Lawrence Schultz families. Finally there are the cousins including the extended Masidonski and Diethelm families – we all grew-up with Walter. Each of our memories are unique just like he was.

  29. Wally sang with the Area wide music ministry for the Renewal at all the
early conferences and events. Great voice. He attended faithfully the Saturday night charismatic mass for years, always knew my name, and was the nicest person you would ever want to meet. Wally, you will be missed. We got to know Paulette in those earlier years and were blessed to know Mary Ann in the later years. Please accept our condolences.

  31. We are praying for Wally’s soul and for all of Wally’s loved ones. Wally was an inspiration to all of us in Our Catholic faith For many reasons. I don’t think anybody could know Wally for more than a minute before they would find out he was a Dedicated practicing Catholic.
We are blessed to have worshipped with Wally at Saint Peter and Paul in Southard, and also at Holy Redeemer in Webster Groves.
What a wonderful couple Wally and Mary Ann made. We will especially be praying for you Mary Ann.
May Wally’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

  33. MY CONDOLENCES TO YOU MARY ANN AND THE REST OF THE FAMILY. I REMEMBER WALTER AS A CHILD WE WOULD PLAY TOGETHER ALONG WITH COUSIN JOHN D. I LIVED A FEW HOUSES SOUTH OF WLTER ON DOLMAN STREET. WE, WALTER, PATRICIA, MY SISTER, JANET, AND JOHN ALL WALKED TO ST. JOHN NEPOMUK SCHOOL TOGETHER. THEN OF COURSE THERE WERE THE USUAL CHILDHOOD SQUABLES. I LOST TRACK OF THE FAMILY WHEN THE STATE BOUGHT THE HOUSE OF THEIR GRANDPARENTS WHERE THEY WERE LIVING. O THE TALES I COULD TELL YOU OF SOME OF THE CRAZY THINGS WE USED TO DO AS KIDS.
