In Loving Memory

Schulz, Janet E.

Schulz, Janet E. (nee Barton), 83, of St. Louis, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022.

Janet grew up in South St. Louis, MO where she attended Hancock High School.  She was a caring, devoted mother who wholeheartedly shared in the raising of her six grandchildren.  She enjoyed reading, playing along with the Wheel of Fortune game show, the camaraderie of her fellow members of the Spanish American Girls Society (SAGS), and had an extraordinary acumen for orthography, which often buoyed the spelling shortcomings of her family.  She lived a full and warm life.  She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Louis Barton, and grandson Matthew.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence; children, Kevin (Laura), Kim (Peter) Wazlawek , Keith (Tracey); grandchildren, Abbie (Eric Venker) Wazlawek , Cody, Dakota, Noah, and Colin; great-grandchildren, Stella and River; DeDe Landwehr (mother of Matthew and Cody).

Services: A celebration of Janet’s life will be held from 2:00 – 6:00 pm, Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, 809 N. Spoede Rd., St. Louis, MO 63141.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Nurses for Newborns in Janet’s memory can be made at https://www.nursesfornewborns.org/donate/.
