Jim C. Shaw  Friday, January 5, 2024.  Dear husband of Diane Shaw for 35 years; loving father of Sara Shaw, Evan (Andrea) Shaw, stepfather of Tim Steed and Julie (Robert) Berendzen; dear son of Betty and the late Jim Shaw; loving grandpa, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Jim was a strong advocate for veterans.

Private burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, appreciated.

  3. I was a co-worker with Jim at the Department of Veteran Affairs. He was competent, helpful, and always wanted to do what was best for the veteran.

    • John, Jim read your book and often while reading it, he would call my attention to things you had written. I think your Viet Nam experience was a lot like Jim’s. Jim valued your opinion and considered you a close friend.
