May 29, 1939 - April 8, 2024

George Shkodriani passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Beloved husband of 62 years to Shirley (Miller) Shkodriani. Loving father of Angela (Jim) Sykora, Gina (Steven Rios) Shkodriani-Rios, and Maria Shkodriani. Dear grandfather of Amber Hobson, Nina (Matei) Stroescu, Nick Sykora, Natalie Sykora, Antonio Rios, Rafael Rios, and Solana Rios. Dear uncle, great uncle, and cousin. Preceded in death by his parents Apostal and Marina Shkodriani and sisters Effie Arnold and Florence Smith.

George was a U.S Air Force veteran who loved annual family vacations to Destin, Florida, fishing, dancing his smooth jitterbug with Shirley, and spending time with his family at home. George will be fondly remembered for his larger-than-life personality and putting family first above all else. May his memory be eternal.

SERVICES:  Visitation Sunday, April 14, 4:00-6:00 pm at Kutis Affton (10151 Gravois Road Affton, Missouri 63123) with Trisagion service at 6:00 pm. Funeral service Monday, April 15, 10:00 am at St. Thomas Romanian Orthodox Church (6501 Nottingham Ave., St. Louis, Missouri 63109).  Interment St. Matthew Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Thomas Romanian Orthodox Church appreciated.

George was always ready to help me anytime i needed help or information.He kept us entertained at most of the festivals.He served the best sausage sandwich to me and my friends at his dinner when I was 18 and always had advice to keep me on the straight and narrow.He and Shirley raised a great family he will be greatly missed.MEMORY ETERNAL
