Mina Andrew Simaku passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Sunday, July 12, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Mary P. Simaku (nee Doias) for 68 years; dearest father of Mark Simaku, Valerie (Richard) Olliges and Nancy (Rick) Grimm; loving grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.
SERVICES: Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Apostle Orthodox Church 6501 Nottingham (63109) on Tuesday, July 21, 11 a.m. Burial J.B. National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Thomas Apostle Orthodox Church appreciated.

Andy worked for my family’s dental supply company for many years. We loved him without measure. He was one of the greatest people I’ve ever known, and he taught me a lot about sales. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. 🙏

Mr. Simaku was a wonderful man. I have many fond memories of him and Mrs. Simaku. God bless them both. Thinking of you, Val, Mark, Nancy and your families. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Minai was one of the first to welcome us to St. Louis with open arms alongside Mary and their kids. I remember once, before having dental insurance, he arranged with one of his clients clinics and drove me multiple days until they fixed my teeth. I am not sure if he paid or not, he wouldn’t tell me, I was only 19 and did not have a license yet.

Dave and I have fond memories of Mina and his wonderful codfish dinners at the church. What a kind man. Both your parents were wonderful and active members of St. Thomas. We wish we could attend the funeral. May his memory be eternal!
