In Loving Memory

Simmons, Ramona “Mona” Kay

October 18, 1961 - April 19, 2025

Ramona “Mona” Kay Simmons (née Farmer), aged 63, passed away peacefully at her residence on April 19, 2025, following a battle with cancer.

A true St Louis native, Mona was an avid Cardinals baseball fan, loved drinking Bud Light, and listening to KSHE Klassic Show on a Sunday morning.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, and a longtime resident of Affton, Missouri, Ramona was the proud owner and operator of Pampered Canine, where her love for animals and dedication to her work touched the lives of many in the community.

Ramona was the daughter of the late Dwight and Elisabeth (Campbell) Farmer, and she carried forward their legacy of kindness, resilience, and love of family throughout her life. True to her spirit, Ramona lived life on her own terms — fiercely independent and always authentic.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Paul Simmons; her daughter, Amanda Kuntze; her cherished granddaughter, Victoria Wolf; her sisters, Susan Wilbert, Dianne Mehelic, and Maria Farmer; as well as her beloved niece and nephews.

Ramona’s life was marked by courage, strength, and an unwavering love for her family and furry companions. She loved spending holidays camping at the lake with her family.  She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 18th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis, MO 63123. All who knew and loved Ramona are welcome to attend and share memories of her beautiful life.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ramona’s memory can be made to Stray Rescue of St. Louis at StrayRescue.org, supporting a cause she deeply cared about.
