  1. One of the nicest people I’ve ever known. Bob and my Dad are probably playing ball just like their St. Cronin days. My thoughts to the Simmons family.

  3. There was only one Bob Simmons and I am so proud to have been one of his friends. Kind, thoughtful, compassionate, always friendly, would go out of his way to help anyone who needed it. Great father, and grandfather. Just a great person to know, play softball with, and I’m very lucky to have known him. God rest your soul pal!

  5. DAD, I miss you more than I can put in words…
so glad we had that one-on-one time together these last 8 months – that was PRICELESS !

You were an excellent role model, dad, and grandpa !
Take comfort with Grandma & Grandpa, and I know the “TEAM” up there has reserved your spot at short-stop and batting 3rd !!

    Love, your son,

  11. Bob was one of my favorite people. I met him through my future wife Stacey Varga. Bob treated Stacey like a daughter! I got to know him even better through the years of playing fantasy football etc etc. I always told my friends I loved going to the bar on Thursday nights to see Bob. He asked every single week for the wife and kids were. Bob will always remain one of my favorite people. Rest in Peace my friend.

  13. Just read all of the kind tributes and would echo the same.
Bob was always a true gentleman. Met Bob upon moving into IHM’s parish over 35 years ago and was a pleasure knowing him through parish activities, softball and Indian Ball.
Never once saw Bob where he didn’t greet me, or my family, with a big smile and always made you feel he was truly happy to see you … my sympathies to his family and closest friends.
