In Loving Memory

Elberta Mae Simpson

April 29, 1943 – October 22, 2026

Elberta Mae Simpson (née Boren), 83, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2026. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Richard, and the cherished dogs who brought her so much companionship and joy throughout her life.

Elberta is survived by her sons, Eric (Sara) Simpson and Jason (Amy) Simpson, and her cherished grandchildren, Aiden, Cory, Claire, and Cole, who brought her tremendous joy.

Family meant so much to Elberta, especially during the holidays, when she treasured being with loved ones, building traditions, sharing laughter, and creating lasting memories. Time with her grandchildren and the comfort of familiar family gatherings brought her great joy.

Elberta will be remembered for her loving personality, her love of family and dogs, and the many little moments that made her so special. Her family takes comfort in imagining her reunited with Richard, sharing a laugh, giving him a little grief, and enjoying a heavenly meal that, as Elberta would say, “Tasted so good to me.”

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever part of the family traditions and memories she helped create.

A private graveside ceremony will be held October 30, 2026, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, where Elberta will be laid to rest beside Richard.
