In Loving Memory

Sims, Mildred “Anita” 

Sims, Mildred “Anita”  73, of Oakville, passed away February 17, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born to the late Levi and Mildred Saylor, February 1, 1946 in Chinle, Arizona. She graduated from Gallup High School in 1964 and attended William Woods College in Fulton, MO where she met her husband Terry. She married Terry L. Sims on May 8, 1966.

Anita is survived by her husband Terry and their two children Lisa Matthews (John) of Columbia, IL. and Scott Sims (Robin) of Shaker Heights, OH.  She is also survived by 5 grandchildren:  Joseph Matthews, Jacob Matthews, Fischer Sims, Saylor Sims and Griffin Sims, as well as many friends and family members.

Anita dedicated her life to helping others through her faith.  After retiring from CNA as a legal secretary, she volunteered at Faith Lutheran Church where she was a member for many years.

Anita had a positive impact on everyone she met and never knew a stranger.  She will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held at Faith Lutheran Church (6101 Telegraph Rd.  St. Louis, MO 63129) on Thursday, February 28 from 9:00 AM immediately followed by a memorial service at 10:00 am Committal service to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made in Anita’s name to the American Lung Association (www.lung.org) or Faith Lutheran Church
