  8. Our local SSND community in San Antonio was fortunate to have S. Janet as a member for 10 years. She was very generous in sharing her many gifts and talents with us. It was never dull in our house with Janet. She delighted in living LIFE to the FULL. I am personally grateful to Janet for her true witness to our MISSION “directing our entire lives toward that oneness for which Jesus Christ was sent.” (YAS #4)

  9. I lived with Sister Janet in Mission in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and again in San Antonio, Texas. She was definitely an SSND with mission clearly in her service. She managed 2 or more missions at the same time. Very dedicated. Very energetic. Great community member. A model SSND for me as a young sister. Great educator.

  11. I have fond and grateful memories of Sr. Janet’s dedication and service during the many years she spent here in San Antonio both during the time she was in the Catholic School Office and especially when she worked with the new initiative to have Deanery Coordinators for the parishes, funded by the Casey Foundation. She was very collaborative, encouraging, and helpful in every way to make these endeavors successful. May this dedicated and grace-filled woman now rest in God’s loving embrace.

  13. Sister Janet was an awesome person. She was my principal at St. Gerard Elementary back in the late 60s. But she was more than an educator, she became “friends” with her students and their families. My mom had her over to the house on many occasions for dinner. I was fortunate enough to stay in contact with her all these years and she always was always upbeat. She was a great example of living a Christian life and we are all the better to have her is part of our lives. Godspeed to an eternity of Life with our Lord.
