Ronald J. Skiljan baptized in the Hope of Christ’s Resurrection Tuesday, April 1, 2025.  Loving husband of Joyce E. Skiljan (nee: Willen) for 61 years; loving dad of Ron (Christine), Diane, Donna, Pat (Carrie), Chris (Tricia), Scott (Diana) Skiljan and Katy (Kurt) Hauck; loving grandpa of Patti (Mark Bickel) Skiljan, Dr. Rebecca (Zach) Buckler, Melissa (Gary Scourick) Skiljan, Jason, Olivia, Seth, Keeley, Grace, Christopher, Sami, Caroline, Luka Skiljan; loving brother of Robert (Marlene) and the late Richard (survived by Ellen) and Carolyn Skiljan; brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Ron was retired pipefitter with Local 562 and founding member of St. Louis Bombers Rugby Club. “The Legend”

Services: Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road Wednesday, April 9, 9:30am to Mary Mother of the Church 10am Mass.  Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Visitation Tuesday, April 8 from 3-8pm.

  3. Sat next to Ron at our class of ‘57 luncheon last month. Enjoyed listening to all the fish stories of the ones that got away. Ron was the only guy who could come to a St. Mary’s Alumni Christmas party wearing a St. Dominic high school hat when that was St. Mary’s opponent for the football state championship that weekend. Family was always important to Ron and his grandson played for St. Dominic.
    Rest in peace Ron. You will be missed.

  4. Work with Ron in 1992 on several different projects one of my favorite partners I’ve ever had. He called me kid like all the old Pipefitters did from that time .
