Mike was a cherished classmate of the Aurora High School (Nebraska) Class of 1968. He had an impish streak but could be relied on to cheer up anyone in need of a laugh. We always looked forward to him returning to his hometown for reunions. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
He was the absolute best Uncle. Period. A lot of people say that but I mean it. He always took time to make me feel special when I was a kid. Whether it was a Billikens game or a St. Louis Rams game, he made sure we did something fun. He didn’t have to do anything with me but he always made our time a priority. He was the funniest guy too…as a 10 year old kid with his Uncle at a Rams game blowing the infamous “horn” that always got taken away every game, it built core memories I’ll never forget. Thanks Uncle Mike, I’ll miss you. I love you. Go Big Red!
I let my son’s know the Ray’s buddy, Smitty, had died. Their response was that “He was our buddy too!” And that he certainly was. Lots of memories from Ram’s games, super bowl parties, pool parties. He was a funny guy. He will be remembered..
