Marilyn Snowert, age 81, originally of St. Louis, Missouri, later lived in Punta Gorda, Florida, and most recently resided in Columbia, Tennessee, entered into God’s loving hands on November 23, 2025. She was a woman of faith, unwavering devotion to her family, and a generous spirit whose life was defined by love, kindness, and togetherness.
Marilyn was the devoted and loving wife of Glenn Snowert, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. She was a proud and caring mother to her daughters Pam (Dean) Waltenberger, Deb (Jim) Wright, and Jennifer (Bryan) DeNoyer, who were the foundation of her life.
Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marilyn’s world revolved around her family, and nothing brought her more happiness than watching it grow. She is survived by her grandchildren Ross (Lisa) Waltenberger, Timmy Waltenberger, Allison (Frank) Meyer, Kylie (Justin) DeStefano, Kristina Wright, Dakota Wright, Zachary (Abby) Bailey, Kaitlyn Bailey, Skylar (Mike) DeBruyn, and Zachary DeNoyer.
She was lovingly blessed with her great-grandchildren Shelby, Norah, Bryce, Clara, Adler, Jackson, Frankie, Jersey, Wyatt, Quincy, and Alexander, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
Marilyn was a loving sister to Carilyn Kramlich and a treasured aunt, cousin, and friend. Known for her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit, she also became an “adopted grandmother” to many who were fortunate enough to know her. Marilyn had a remarkable way of making people feel welcome and loved, and her presence left a lasting impression on all whose lives she touched.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Jane and George Bresnan, and her beloved grandchildren Jason (Lindsey) Snowert and Justin Waltenberger, whom she carried in her heart every day and now holds close once more.
Marilyn’s legacy of love, family, and compassion will live on through the generations she nurtured and the countless hearts she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
One of Marilyn’s greatest joys in life was Christmas, a season she cherished for the warmth it brought, the traditions it carried, and the time it created for family to be together. In that same spirit, her family will celebrate her life on December 27, 2025, from 1- 5 p.m. at the American Legion in Imperial, Missouri, with a Christmas-style gathering because there is no better way to honor Marilyn than surrounded by love, laughter, and those she held closest.
Services: Private services will be held with interment at Shepard Hills Cemetery.
Marilyn was a dear and beloved friend. We did not see her and Glenn often but we enjoyed the times we had together. May God grant her peace and joy our prayers go out to Glenn and the family. I know this will be a sad holiday for the family, but know that Marilyn is in God‘s loving care🙏❤️
Jennifer, I am so sorry to read the loss you are experiencing. Your Mom is such a sweet individual and truly a person I was so blessed to have met. I do pray that the tears of sorrow you are now experiencing will turn to tears of ‘joy’ as you reminisce all the wonderful times you both shared.
