Sovar, Richard R.

February 5, 1937 - May 10, 2024

Richard R Sovar, 87, of St. Louis, Missouri, born on February 5th, 1937, passed away on May, 10th, 2024 surrounded by family. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Evelyn; daughters, Cheryl(Mark), Rhonda(Patrick), son, Scott(Maren), nine grandchildren children and, five great grandchildren. 

 He served in the United States Air Force prior to working for the St. Louis district, US Army Corps of Engineers,  until retirement.  He was very proud and passionate about his work throughout his career.  His family was important to him and each member felt his love deeply.  Hobbies he enjoyed were strumming on his guitar, playing the organ, gardening, and  crawfishing. He shared his love for those interests passing them on to family.  

SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held at Friendship Village in Sunset Hills (12503 Village Circle Drive  Sunset Hills, MO 63127), in the Pannkuk Chapel, on Friday, June 7th at 11:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Friendship Foundation or charity of your choice.
