Speichinger, Zelda Rae

In Loving Memory

Speichinger, Zelda Rae

June 6, 2024 - June 28, 2024

Zelda Rae Speichinger was born June 6th, 2024, at 11:29 am to parents Angela Nienhaus and Adam Speichinger. Zelda was born in Mercy Hospital at 31 weeks and 5 days. She stayed 22 days in the NICU under the amazing care of the nurses and doctors in the Mercy NICU. Zelda had a fighting spirit, often entertaining nurses and her parents with her wiggles during care sessions. Her squirmy personality and wiggles landed her the nickname “Squirmy Wormy”.

Zelda passed away in the arms of her parents on June 28th, 2024, at 11:03 am. The Legend of Zelda Rae Speichinger: she will live on forever. She is so deeply loved as a daughter, a granddaughter, a great-granddaughter, a cousin, a niece, and a beautiful member of the Nienhaus and Speichinger families.

A visitation will be held Sunday, July 21st, 2024, at Kutis Funeral Homes – Affton, between 1pm – 4pm.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the following charities: March of Dimes, Ronald McDonald House Charities – Saint Louis, or Preeclampsia Foundation.

  2. The tribute to Zelda was beautiful.
Friends and family who had heard our stories about Zelda were able see why Grandma and Grandpa were constantly bragging about our Granddaughter. She is and always will be our beautiful Zelda Rae.
Zelda will be forever in our hearts.
