Went home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2026. Born in St. Louis on May 30, 1940 to Ernst Henry Spellmeyer III and Ethel Mae Spellmeyer (nee Crowell). Veteran of the United States Army Intelligence Corps. Former teacher in the Mehlville School District for 30 years. Survived by his loving wife Sally of 62 years; his son Hank, daughter-in-law Cheryl (nee Feuerstein); grandson Alex; granddaughter-in-law Tahia; sister Sandra Davis. Preceded in death by brother-in-law Robert Davis. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, dear friends and colleagues. Burial will be private.
