In Loving Memory

Speth, Roger H.

August 31, 1940 - September 7, 2025

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Beloved father of Andy (Megan) and Matt (Andrea) Speth; loving grandfather of Braden Utt, Addison Speth, Hugo Speth, Darby Speth and Emrie Speth; dear brother of Sally (Gayland) Monken. Our dearest uncle, great-uncle. cousin and friend to many.

We said goodbye to an amazing man this morning.  My Father, Roger Speth, passed  away after a long fight with cancer and other medical troubles.  Our family is absolutely heartbroken to lose him, but relieved he has finally found peace after years of pain and discomfort.
My dad lived a remarkable life that included too many adventures and achievements to recount in a simple post.  He raised a family, traveled the world, achieved higher education, and had a career in aerospace spanning many decades.  Although his loss is incalculable, his example and character will be an inspiration always.

Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Friday, September 12 from 12 noon until Funeral Service time at 1:00 pm. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. We also plan to hold a reception for family and friends following the service at Llywelyn’s Pub in Webster Groves.

Condolences

Your dad and Nelda & I have been best friends since the 70’s….50 years !
We were compatible in our interests……..boating/skiing on the Missouri & Mississippi rivers, multiple travel vacations to Mexico, good restaurants, etc, etc and as Roger liked to say …” Good Times “.
One event stands out …..the eight day pontoon boat trip four of us made from the Missouri River through the Mississippi, Ohio, & Tennessee rivers to Kentucky Lake……..”Good Times !” You had a good father…….

  2. Andy and Matt,
I’ll always remember our fun times in England, your dad was a great and generous tour guide.
I still have my little silver antique collectibles.
We need to have some Yorkshire puddings in his honor!!

Best wishes to you and yours,

    Val Thompson
