Passed away on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025.
Beloved wife of Terrence Spies; devoted mother of Kim (Scott) Zarinelli and Pam (Cory) Brown; adoring grandmother of Leah, Taylor, and Nick Zarinelli and Alex and Macey Brown; dearest daughter of the late Bernard and Florence Schulte (nee Klicka); loving sister of Paul (Judy) Schulte and the late Shirley (Bob) Harris, Dave (Ruth) Schulte, and Mike Schulte; our dear aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend.
Carol will be remembered as a wonderful wife to Terry—always supportive and understanding when he headed out for a hunting or fishing trip throughout the year. She was a fantastic mother who poured love and creativity into everything she did, from sewing clothes and creating dresses for dances to crafting one-of-a-kind Halloween costumes. Carol never missed a softball game her daughters played, always cheering them on with pride.
Carol adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them at the lake, playing games, wrapping gifts to make each one special, and sending cards adorned with stickers that often got a little “stuck” in the mail. She made every Christmas magical—year after year—creating memories that will last forever.
Every Friday evening, Carol could be found enjoying a game of bingo with her sister. Her home was always open to her siblings, especially when they came by to visit their mother. Carol was a caring, generous person who consistently put others before herself.
Above all, Carol will be fondly remembered for her warm heart, her joyful spirit, and her passion for Steak ’n Shake.

SERVICES: Funeral at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd. 63123) Friday, November 7th, 10 AM. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday from 5:00 -8:00 PM
