St.Cyre_

In Loving Memory

St. Cyre, Michael F.

Michael F. St. Cyre age 66, joined many loved ones with his passing on December 18th, 2022. Although sudden and far too young, the reflection of Mike’s time on earth gave us an example of what a meaningful and fulfilled life was. Mike grew up in Affton. He was a graduate of CBC and Rankin. Mike and his dad owned their own HVAC company. Upon retiring Mike decided to get in the seat of a bus for the Mehlville School District, which he enjoyed for the last eight and a half years. Mike possessed an amazing sense of adventure, a passion for all types of fishing, hunting, gardening, and cooking. Mike was a pillar in the community, member of the Elks, and friend to all that knew him. Mike was patient and excepting of people as they were. With an infectious laugh, unparalleled sense of humor, quick wit, sharp mind, and kind heart. Mike had a seemingly tough exterior which covered an incredible giving spirit. He gave his time, knowledge, and support to anyone in need. Mike equally gave in death, and many will benefit from his gift as an organ/tissue donor this holiday season. Survived by his wife Christine nee Dempsey of Twenty-four years. His two kids Lance (Lynn) Nappier, and Kerry (Jim) Sears. His six grandchildren, Nathan, Gabrielle (Triston), Gryffin, Jenna, Nolan and Sydney. His four great grandchildren Braxton, Amelia, AJ and Owen. Mike will be forever remembered as a loving husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa, cousin, brother-in-law, dear friend and child of God.

Services: Please join us on December 29th to celebrate Mikes life at Kutis Funeral Home -South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry Rd) from 4 PM until time of service at 7 PM. Private Interment.

The family requests in lieu of flowers bless as many as possible by donating to the charity of your choice.

  9. I grew up next door to the St. Cyrs in Affton, before they moved to Pebble Hill. My oldest brother was Mike. Two doors down from us were the Crecelius family, and their oldest was Mike. My brother was “Big Mike,” Mike Crecelius was “Little Mike” and Mike St. Cyr was “Bitsy Mike,” then Mikey. There are many fond memories of playing hide n seek (twilight and encompassing four houses and yards); softball, Pom Pom, and just plain fun with Mikey and the neighborhood kids. Such a gruff exterior, such a gentle soul. Rest well, Mikey.

  11. Sending our prayers for peace and healing to the family of the man we knew as Mr. Mike. He has been driving all 3 of my children to school for the past 8.5 years—most recently my 1st grade daughter who simply adored him. We are shocked and heartbroken by this loss. He was so wonderful to my kids, and I thank your family for sharing him with us in his retirement. Sending all our love, gratitude, and prayers for Mr. Mike & family.

  15. Mike was a close friend of my brother Duane and I growing up in St Dominic’s parish and CBC. Lots of fond memories. I’m sure my brother, Duane and Mike will be sharing those memories once again in heaven.

  17. Chrissy,
We are so sorry for your loss. Mike was like a big brother to me on the bus lot. When I first started he showed me the ropes and taught me the ins and outs. He also reassured me when I was having my aortic valve replacement 6 months after your own replacement surgery. We always had a good time at Cloverleaf. Thank you so much for sharing him with us.

  21. The sad new of Mike’s passing just reached me this morning. Mike and I were friends and neighbors (I lived next to the parish rectory). We rode our bikes a lot and bonded in high school. I have clear memories of sitting in Mike’s bedroom listening to many songs. We especially liked “Moonshadow” and “Peace Train” as he was a Cat Steven’s fan too. He was very smart which extended to his sharp humor. My fond memories of Mike still make me chuckle. We did stupid high school things together and got away with them without anyone getting hurt. Sometimes you just get lucky having a friend like Mike that you know will never tell on you! The world lost a sweet hearted person.
