Stauffer

In Loving Memory

Stauffer, Chris James

February 1, 1963 - July 5, 2025

Chris James Stauffer entered into eternal rest at the age of 62 on Saturday, July 5th, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Feb.1, 1963 in St. Louis to the late Donald E. Stauffer and Jacqueline R. Stauffer (nee Mick). He was a devoted husband of 33 years to Joanne C. Stauffer (nee Murphy), and loving father to Theodore “Ted” M. Stauffer and Luke P. Stauffer.

He grew up in South St. Louis County and attended schools in the Mehville R-IX School District. Chris retired a few months ago due to his battle with cancer, but was a proud member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union, Local 562, for the past 28 years. He worked most recently as a General Foreman for Rock Hill Mechanical Corporation.

Forever the hard-worker and tinkerer, Chris took great pride in the projects he ran both at work and at home. In his free time, Chris could be found working on cars, tending to his plants, creating home projects, or helping his family or friends with some sort of handyman project of their own. The only time he sat still was when he was taking in a baseball or football game.

Even from a young age, Chris valued the importance of spending time with family and friends over material desires. He lived for holidays and celebrations, playing pranks, and laughing around a bonfire.

The beloved brother of Donald (Donna) Stauffer, Susan Glover, and Caroline (Joseph) Villanueva, and nephew, cousin, uncle, great uncle, friend, neighbor, and co-worker to many, Chris will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who loved and knew him.

SERVICES: A memorial visitation will be held at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd., 63123) on Thursday, July 24th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.

Memorial service at Kutis Affton on Friday, July 25th, 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Feed my People are greatly appreciated.
