In Loving Memory

Streicher, Joanne B.

Joanne B. Streicher

November 10, 1937 – July 9, 2025

Surrounded by her children, Joanne, 87 was carried by angels to her eternal home on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.

Joanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Robert Streicher. She was a devoted and loving mother to Sharon (Chris), Bob (Kathi), Barb (Dean), and Debbie. She is remembered with deep love by her grandchildren: Mitch, Dustin, Christy, Carlye, Alli, Steven, Kevin, and Carl. Her legacy also lives on through her six cherished great-grandchildren: Drew, Mylie, Jacob, Sierra, Bella, and Lilly.

Born and raised on a farm in Florissant, Missouri, Joanne was the youngest of eight siblings and was preceded in death by all seven: Rob, Bud, Raymond, Edward, Dorothy, Rosemary, and Mil. She was a beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and a loyal friend to many.

After marrying Bob, Joanne made her home in South County, where they raised their family. Her family and grandkids were the highlight of her life and she always made time for them. Later, she worked for many joyful years as an Office Checker at Shop ’n Save where she made everlasting friendships.  A devout Catholic, Joanne found peace in her faith, joy in reading, delight in traveling, and fulfillment tending to her yard. God was always present in her life. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed

  1. Although distance prevented us from seeing each other as often as we would like, I always remember Aunt Joanne’s loving smile and gentle spirit. I’m very lucky to have been born into the Hackborn/Gettemeier family. What a joyful reunion they’re all having…all our angels.
