Those who knew him will remember not only what he did, but the person he was and the happiness he brought to others.
A Love Story for the Ages
One of the most beautiful parts of Dick’s life was his love story with his beloved wife, Jean. From the moment they met, it was love at first sight. What began as an instant connection grew into a remarkable love story that lasted 59 years, until God called Jean home.
Together, Richard and Jean built a life centered on love, family, laughter, and joy. They raised a close-knit family whose home was filled with happiness, shared memories, and the kind of laughter that makes a house a home. Their love was the foundation upon which their family grew, creating bonds and traditions that would be treasured for generations.
One story their children never tired of hearing was how their parents first met. Dick and Jean’s tale of love at first sight was told again and again, becoming a beloved family tradition. Each telling was a reminder of the extraordinary bond they shared and the beautiful life they built together. It was more than just a favorite family story; it was a testament to a love that endured and an example of devotion that would live on through their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Now, as Dick is called home to his Savior, there is comfort in imagining him reunited with Jean, his bride the love of his life. Their love story spanned 59 wonderful years, but the love they created and the family they raised will continue to carry their story forward.
