Stroups, Mary Agnes

Mary Agnes (Thebeau) Stroups, 70, of Barnhart died May 23, 2016, at The Woodlands in Arnold. Mrs. Stroups was retired from the food service department of the Fox C-6 School District and was a member of Twin Rivers Worship Center. Born Aug. 6, 1945, in Richwoods, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Arthur and Bernice Helen (Barron) Thebeau.

She is survived by her husband: Ray D. Stroups; a son: Jason (Kim) Stroups of Imperial; two daughters: Laura (David) Sain of Granite City, Ill., and Sarah (Bob) Burgard of High Ridge; a daughter of the heart: Tammy (Craig) Slate of Ste. Genevieve; nine grandchildren: Mandie (Keifer) Thomas, Patrick Schodroski, Jennifer Stroups, Josh Stroups, Chloe Burgard, Logan Burgard, Josh Slate, Travis (Sarah) Slate and Andrew Slate; and three great-grandchildren: Keigan Thomas, Scarlett Slate and Loralei Slate; two brothers: Michael (Lola) Thebeau of Festus and Dennis (Christi) Thebeau of Denver, Colo.; and two sisters: Rose (Gene) Overmann of Fenton and Betty (Jerry) Willett of St. Louis.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, May 26, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Farry Road, in south St. Louis County. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, at the funeral home, officiated by David Sain. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
