In Loving Memory of David Sullivan
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David “Dave, Bub” Sullivan , a beloved husband, devoted father, and true friend, who left us after a courageous battle with cancer. Dave passed away peacefully on January 4th, surrounded by his family, who were the center of his world.
A man of strength, kindness, and unwavering dedication, Dave was the epitome of strength for all who knew him. As a husband, he was loving and steadfast, always putting the needs of his wife before his own. As a father, he was gentle, caring, and always present for his children, offering guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love. His family meant everything to him, and he dedicated his life to making their lives better.
David was also known for his love of sports, and his passionate loyalty to his teams. He was a lifelong fan of the Buffalo Bills and Notre Dame football, and nothing brought him more joy than watching a game with his loved ones.
Even in the face of illness, David showed remarkable strength and resilience. He fought cancer with the same determination he brought to every challenge in his life, never once allowing it to overshadow his concern for others. His selflessness and ability to put everyone else first, even in his final days, were a testament to his character.
David leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion. He is survived by his wife Christy and children Lily, Abigail, Thomas and Riley; brother John. He was a loving uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law and cousin to many. He is preceded in death by his parents David and Marilyn Sullivan.
Services; A visitation to honor his life will be held at Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Mon. 1/13 from 4PM until service at 7PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Friends of Kid’s with Cancer in his memory.
Rest in peace, Dave. You fought bravely, loved fiercely, and will be forever cherished.
Christy (& kids). Know you are in our thoughts & prayers always.
Christy, I am a friend of Chip & Katie from St. Pius V church. I have been praying for Dave as I learned a while ago of his illness from Chip. I will continue to keep you and your children in prayer these days. I am saddened by your loss.
May Dave Rest in God’s Good Peace!
Hail The Traveler!
Sorry to hear this we played high school football together.
May you fly with the angels, David and be at peace. God bless you and your beautiful family, those close and extended.
I am a parishioner at St. Pius and know Marsha and Rich Cronin, Dave’s in-laws. I have been praying for Dave and I know he is the care of the Lord. I will continue to keep Christie and the children in my prayers. Even though I didn’t know Dave personally he was a caring husband, father and a fighter.
I have such positive memories of Dave when I was growing up. He and my brother grew up together. Thinking of your sweet family.
We’re so sorry to hear about your loss. Wishing you and your family strength and peace during this difficult time. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
