Sullivan, Kathleen A. (Hellman),

Kathleen A. Sullivan 11/16/1949 – 8/24/2017, 67 of St. Louis, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. Born in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of the late William and Shirley (Hyland) Hellman. Kathy was predeceased by her cherished son Sean Patrick Sullivan, Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, who was killed in July 2012 while serving in Oman, Jordan.   She is survived by her beloved son, Ryan, her daughter-in-law, Jennifer (Buscher), and her granddaughter, Hadley, who was the light of her life. Also surviving Kathy is her step-mother Dorothy Hellman, of Cantonment, FL;  brother Ted Hellman, of St. Louis; brother Mark (Susie) Hellman, of Pensacola, FL; brother Greg (Debbie) Hellman, Tampa, FL; the children she loved and called her own, Patrice Miller, of Millersville, MO  and Steve Justus, of St. Louis; nieces, nephews and cousins.  Kathy was a woman of strength who was devoted to her children, family, friends and most especially to her granddaughter Hadley. She was a Gold Star mother and staunch advocate for Veterans. She was also a true animal lover. Besides her own pets, Kathy nurtured countless animals through foster programs and volunteering. Her loved ones pray her soul be reunited with her precious son Sean and wish for her peace, love and happiness, so hard to attain on Earth. Kathy has left her mark and we will think of her every day with loving thoughts and memories. Soar happily with the angels, Mom.   Visitation at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 4556 Telegraph Rd. (63129), Saturday, September 2nd 9 am until a Celebration of Life Mass at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Missouri Military Memorial Foundation at P.O.
